There are 2 ramps, a kickback, a Magna Save right by the left flipper, a cool spinner, a cool 3-way plunge skill shot, a TV scoop hole and a scoop hole that assists you by kicking out into the goal! The goal is guarded by a goalie that moves back and forth in front of it. The big eye-catcher is the large spinning soccer ball that spins both ways to alter the ball’s path.
There are 2 big ways to score points on World Cup Soccer. The most popular way is by multiball. Hit shots to light all 5 traits in order to light lock. Shoot the left ramp to lock the ball (pretty neat locking mechanism up on the ramp). Get the ball into the TV scoop to start your first multiball match. During multiball, alternate shooting goals and ramp shots to advance countries and earn more points. The other strategy is to advance cities. Completing upper lanes (or sometimes a Striker award) provides tickets to cities. When lit, shoot the spinner to advance to the next city. Along the way is a potential 40 million point shot in Boston and a lit extra ball in Washington D.C. Travel to Los Angeles and shoot the TV scoop to start the World Cup Final! 45 seconds worth of multiball where each goal is 75 million points and scoring more than Germany awards 500 million points!
Get a good feel for your ramp shots and/or spinner shot. Try to keep your kickback lit as often as possible. The shot to light kickback may just be worth it. The TV scoop shot is hard but ultimately must be made to succeed so practice, practice, practice.
